From the Doors: One Conversation at a Time
See how Branda Brigade volunteers approach respectful, accurate, neighbor-to-neighbor voter conversations across Florida's 23rd Congressional District.
At the door, politics stops being an abstract argument and becomes a conversation between neighbors.
That is why Branda Brigade volunteers are trained to begin with respect. The goal is not to pressure, debate, or guess. It is to listen, explain why Paola Branda is running, offer one useful next step, and record any follow-up accurately.
What volunteers bring to the conversation
Paola's story gives volunteers a clear introduction. She is a legal immigrant from Venezuela, a wife and mother of two, a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership, a 15+ year educator and World Languages Department Head, a business operations leader, a humanitarian aid leader, and the founder of Crescendo Step.
She is running on seven connected priorities:
- Lower costs and taxpayer relief.
- Secure borders and legal immigration.
- Education and opportunity.
- Senior security and lower health-care costs.
- Faith, freedom, religious liberty, and constitutional rights.
- Clean water and Florida resilience.
- Accountable government and strong constituent service.
The volunteer's job is not to deliver a speech about every issue. It is to find the concern that matters to the person at the door and make the conversation useful.
Accuracy earns trust
Voter information requires special care. Volunteers should never guess about registration, eligibility, party status, vote-by-mail, early voting, polling locations, identification, or ballot status.
When a voter asks for those details, the right answer is to use current official election sources. The campaign can point people toward verified information; election officials provide the rules and personal voter records.
Volunteers also protect privacy. No private voter story, contact information, or photo should become public content without clear permission.
A good shift has a clear next step
A successful conversation might end with a voter reading Paola's issues, joining a volunteer shift, attending an event, sharing a campaign link, making a contribution, or checking official voter information.
Not every door produces the same result. The value comes from showing up consistently, recording the outcome, honoring opt-outs, and making sure promised follow-up happens.

You do not need political experience to join a voter-contact shift. The campaign provides a purpose, approved language, training, and a captain who can answer questions.
