They deserve more than election-season reassurance. They deserve a clear commitment to protect earned promises, confront rising healthcare costs, fight fraud, and make federal services easier to navigate.

Protect Social Security and Medicare

Social Security and Medicare are not favors from Washington. Seniors paid into these programs through years of work.

Paola supports protecting those earned benefits and opposing careless decisions that shift uncertainty onto retirees and families approaching retirement. Washington should manage public resources responsibly, reduce waste, keep its commitments to the people who planned their lives around them, and support tax relief that helps retirees and seniors keep more of what they earned.

Accountability also means telling the truth about long-term challenges. Leaders should work toward responsible solutions without treating seniors as numbers on a budget spreadsheet.

Lower healthcare and prescription drug costs

Healthcare costs affect more than a monthly bill. They shape whether a senior can remain independent, follow a treatment plan, help a family member, or stay in the community they call home.

Paola supports practical work to lower prescription-drug and healthcare pressure, protect patient choice, strengthen price transparency, and reduce bureaucracy that delays care or makes benefits difficult to understand.

Patients and caregivers deserve clear information. Doctors and pharmacists should spend more time helping people and less time fighting needless administrative complexity.

Defend healthcare choices and independence

Seniors should be able to choose the coverage, doctors, and care settings that work for them. Paola supports protecting healthcare choices, including Medicare Advantage options where seniors rely on them, and expanding access to home- and community-based care where possible.

Good policy should help older Americans remain independent and close to the people and communities they know. It should not put needless bureaucracy between a patient and trusted care.

Fight scams, fraud, and exploitation

Criminals target seniors through phone calls, text messages, email, identity theft, financial fraud, and schemes that imitate government agencies or trusted businesses.

Federal agencies should coordinate with state and local partners, pursue organized fraud, improve public warnings, and make reporting easier. Families also need clear information that helps them recognize pressure tactics before money or personal information is lost.

Fighting fraud protects both household savings and taxpayer-funded programs.

Make constituent service work

A congressional office should help residents navigate federal agencies, understand the status of a case, and know what documentation is required. It should communicate clearly and treat every person with respect.

For seniors, veterans, people with disabilities, and caregivers, strong constituent service can make the difference between a problem that is resolved and one that drags on for months.
