Across Palm Beach County, churches, synagogues, and other faith communities help families, seniors, young people, legal immigrants, and neighbors facing loss or crisis. Much of that work happens quietly through volunteers, donors, clergy, families, and community partners who see a need and respond.

Government should respect the independence of faith-based service while applying clear and equal laws. Public partnerships should never become an excuse to control belief or weaken constitutional protections.

Paola's own record of service reflects that principle. She founded Crescendo Step to offer volunteer educational services and has helped lead humanitarian aid work for families affected by Venezuela's crisis. For Paola, faith calls people to serve with responsibility, compassion, and respect.

Paola knows what can be lost

Paola is a legal immigrant from Venezuela, the daughter of a pastor, a wife, and a mother of two. Her family experienced the consequences of a government that grew too powerful and watched freedom become less secure.

She earned a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership, spent more than 15 years as an educator, and became a World Languages Department Head. She has also led business operations, helped lead humanitarian aid work, and founded Crescendo Step.
